Isabel Le Roux

Isabel Le Roux was born in Rustenburg, North West province of South Africa. She matriculated with distinction in Art and obtained a Diploma in Higher education at the Teacher’s College, Pretoria Cum Laude.

Her first exhibition was in 1974 and since then, her work has been in high demand with galleries, agents, private investors, art connoisseurs and companies locally and abroad. In 2007 she enjoyed her 39th solo exhibition.  Isabel has had several exhibitions at the South African Association of Arts in Pretoria, additionally; she has exhibited in Paris at the gallery of the Cite International des Art, France, at the university of the free state, Carmel Art gallery, Johan Coetzee and Dorp street galleries, Cape Town and Stellenbosch. There are also numerous group exhibitions in South Africa, Portugal and London.   

Isabel paint, lives and works in Kosmos at Hartbeespoordam North West province in South Africa, where she has her own gallery at Isabella d’Atre and Artelier Isabella where she facilitates inspirational and motivational art Ensemble weekends several times a year.

Isabel is a prolific artist and whatever interests her at that moment. Her works are modern, colourful, contemporary and expressionistic. She works in different mediums such as oils, watercolour and mixed media.

Isabel has been married to Thys Le Roux for over 40 years. Together they have three daughters, Rochelle, Liezl and Marlise. Marlise is also a painter with a style very similar to that of Isabel.
