Born 1940 in Montague, Cape Province. A painter and graphic artist of landscapes, portraits, still life and genre. Works in oil, watercolour, ink-wash, pencil, charcoal and pastel.

Conrad is one of South Africa's top artists and was awarded an honourary doctorate by Unisa three years ago for his contribution to the art world in this country.
